Chris Akordalitis uses images and random moments from the daily routine. He tries to create pictures that reflect the simple and “beautiful” life we are living. The warm feeling of a sunset, the playful light of a summer morning, the power of colours and human emotions are the main focus in the series of his work. Paintings that are as effortless as our reality and as uncomplicated as life should be. He uses simple forms and shapes with a touch of humour, to highlight the little things we often fail to see. The observer gets the chance to recognise the importance and the quality of these random moments and maybe acknowledge them in a different way.

Chris Akordalitis (*1989 Paphos, Cyprus) lives and works in Düsseldorf Germany. He graduated at Kunstakademie Düüsseldorf in 2018 as Master Student of professor Andreas Schulz. During the time at the academy he was at sculpture class of professor Tony Cragg and painting class at professor Andreas Schulz.
